Our Story
An unexpected pairing between a guide and guest is what lead you to this page.
In 2019 (before ownership of the lodge) guide, Zack Larsen was paired up with Steve Morrow of Epic Waters Angling. Steve originally booked the trip to see if the Togiak was a viable spey fishery.
He loved what he saw.

Fast Forward to 2020
In 2020 Zack and his brother Jordan Larsen had the opportunity to purchase Togiak River Lodge from the previous owner. Upon taking ownership, Zack and Jordan wanted to make it their goal to change the culture around King salmon harvest and conservation on the Togiak. Before their ownership, the lodge was not known known for its Spey King fishery.
2023
In 2023 Zack and Jordan got their wish for conservation, and the Togiak went to Catch & Release for King salmon, and Artificial’s only. They, as well as Steve Morrow from Epic Waters Angling, and spey guide Chris Childs recognized this as an opportunity to create the first, and one of kind spey program for Kings on the Togiak.
2025 & Beyond
With two successful Spey seasons under our belt, we are excited to see where this fishery takes us. Five years ago we would have never imagined having exclusively Spey anglers for the peak of the Togiak King run but we are here for it.
We’ve had the opportunity to have some heavy hitters join us the last couple of seasons. Recognizable names such as Steve Morrow from Epic Waters Angling, George Krumm from Fish Alaska Magazine and Tom Larimer of Farbank.
Don’t just book a trip with us, join us and become apart of our story.
