What To Bring

  • Last Minute Items

Togiak Lodge is situated in the remote wilderness of bush Alaska. While there is a small village store nearby, its selection is very limited. Be sure to purchase essentials such as batteries, tobacco products, and fishing gear ahead of time. Anchorage is the ideal location for any last-minute shopping. Fishing licenses can be conveniently obtained online or directly at camp.

  • Luggage

For packing, we suggest using soft-sided, water-resistant luggage and keeping your rain gear easily accessible at the top of your bag. Alaska’s weather is unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from the 70s during the day to the 40s at night. July is generally the warmest month, while June tend to be cooler. Always prepare for wind and rain—quality rain gear is a must-have for any Alaskan adventure.

  • Clothing

Casual, comfortable clothing works best in camp. Keep vital medications separate from your main luggage for easy access. Since you’ll encounter the elements even within camp, focus on clothing that keeps you warm and dry. Dressing in layers is the most practical way to stay comfortable and adaptable in Alaska’s ever-changing conditions.
